Well.. surprise! It's been awhile since my last post! I don't have an excuse and I am not going to say "I've just been SOO busy!" Because although that may be true I see so many other dedicated bloggers keeping everyone updated and ya'll are just as busy!

These pics are in the wrong order so I will tell what we've been up to in reverse!

My little loves are just as happy as can be! They will be ONE next month and I just can't believe it! This year has gone by so quickly, makes me sad in some ways, but I really love the stage my kids are at now! They are SOO cute when they play together! Their favorite is to chase after each other then stop and turn around to scare the other then BUST up laughing! Cutest thing ever! They also have screaming contests! Not angry ones.. just being funny!! They take turns screaming super loud and shaking their heads back and forth at eachother! They are best of friends and I hope they always will be!

The pictures below are from the other day while I was decorating for Christmas! I had the lights out and I had seen, on pinterest of coarse, cute pictures with babies in lights! Mine didn't turn out as great as the one I saw BUT I still loved it and the rugrats loved playing in the lights!

Then we move back to Thanksgiving! We went to Las Vegas to my parents for the weekend! We had a fun time and got to see lots of family! However, anytime we have holiday/family get togethers I really do miss my family living in Logandale. Being able to go ride the fourwheelers or just being outside where it's still quiet, I miss those days.. a lot! It makes me sad that so much has changed! My siblings have their own families and started their own traditions. Life moves on, but sometimes I just wish it wouldn't!

Below is my little Mommas boy Madden! He is such a mommas boy! It's so sweet (some days!!) He has the bigger attitude out of the two! We always say his name is MADden for a reason!! He knows what he wants and is NOT patient... at.ALL!! He is always the leader, Bostyn just thinks he is SO funny and tries to do everything that he is doing! I didn't teach Bostyn how to crawl or stand or hold her bottle... he did! She watches his every move then makes her attempt! So cute!

And then there is my little Miss!! How I love this little girl! Bostyn is SUCH a sweet baby! She is very sensitive and takes it very personal if you get upset with her!! I think she is going to be a lot like me so I know that when she is older I am going to have to be careful with the things I say and do with her! She is a VERY happy girl and it's not often she will cry. This girl LOVES to eat! She doesn't love to be fed but loves to feed herself!! She likes to be independant, like her mother! She is very proud of herself when she has accomplished something! She always knows when to celebrate! She is a TOTAL daddys girl! And whenever robbie walks in the door she is doing her kissy face over and over and over!!

The picture of Bost and Rob is showing Bostyns new "cheese" face! When I tell her to smile this is what I get!!! And the picture of me and Madden isn't the best but I don't have many pictures with me in them so it'll have to do!!

Halloween!! We dressed them as little cows! SO CUTE! One of the girls in our ward was a nerd and Bostyn loved wearing her glasses!

I woke up this morning with every intention of doing my P90X workout.. well, I got 30 minutes into it and gave up.. SURPRISE!!! I just have the hardest time working out at home. I really do try! I just do not enjoy it. I can go to a class at the gym and.. well actually that IS the only way I can stay committed (for that hour at least) I'm so bad! I complain about not being in shape and not feeling good about myself, yet, I do nothing to change it!!! I NEED HELP!

I did get some great tips from a friend (thanks Ash) and so now I think i'm going to set aside money each week and if I actually achieve ANYTHING I can treat myself (at the end of the month) to something I wouldn't normally do, but each day I do NOTHING I have to take money out of my "poor me" fund!

I blame these two below for my lack of desire to do anything worthwhile when i actually do get a break! Don't get me wrong I love my babies and they are GREAT babies, but even 2 great babies can do a number! I'm reading a book about the value of a woman and I just read that most women say the one thing they regret is not living in the moment with their kids. I want to do that, yesterday I was rocking Madds and just loving on him and LOVING that he actually wants me to hold him and play with him.

My kids think I'm funny, they make me feel like the next American Idol the way the get so excited when I sing to them.. and TRUST ME, i'm terrible! They are so forgiving and innocent. They won't always be this way. One day they are going to tell their friends how lame their mother is and how crazy I seem! So for now, I'm going to just sllooowww down and cherish their stubborness! Plus how can you not LOVE these two faces! Perfection!

This little guy ^ sure can move quick when the front door is open! He loves being outside!

^^ I love that they love eachother! Madden crawls toward Bostyn and they are both just cracking up at eachother the whole time! They were totally meant to come to this world together. They can't fuction without the other! its the cutest thing!!

And of coarse.. the newest little peanut to our Nelson Clan. LIAM! Ryan and Katie sure do make gorgeous babies! He's perfect! And makes me miss having a newborn (just for a brief moment!!)

Well, I guess that's all for now! Robbie will be home from basketball soon and wouldn't it be nice if I had breakfast ready for him?!

Also, next post WILL BE about something besides my love bugs! I need some variety here! It will be projects I actually COMPLETE from pinterest, not just pinned and dreamed about!

More Morrison Moments!

Well.. nothing exciting to blog about! We've just been having a whole lot of fun at our house watching the twins grow up and develope their little personalities! I feel so blessed that I am able to stay home with them and see them learn new things. But they are growing way to fast. They are 7 months this week and it makes me so sad every time I look at pictures from delivery day. Where has the time gone?

*They still love the moment their Dad walks in the door from work! It's my favorite part of the day watching them get so excited!

*They are still taking 4 two hour naps a day and sleeping from 9 to 7.

*Bostyn can give kisses.. she sucks her bottom lip in until she makes the "smack" noise!!!!

*Madden wants to crawl SO badly but I am not in a hurry to teach him!!

*Bostyn can sit up but not roll over (can do it, chooses NOT to!!)

*Madden can't sit up (since he will only try to eat his feet!) but can roll across the room and back!

*Bostyn gets a very "poor me" look when she watches us eat. (we've let her try a few things!)

*Madden could care less about adult food and usually spits it out!

*Both LOVE to go on fourwheeler rides and walks and bathtime.

*Both will instantly stop crying, or stop whatever their doing if you start to sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider"

*Both will go to just about anyone!! Which is so nice!

*Madden finally stopped wanting to be swaddled but I can't break Bostyn of the habit.

*And both are waking up now so this post is coming to a wrap!!!!!!

And I just had to add this picture because of how blessed I have felt/feel lately about the gospel in our lives. We are so richly blessed because of the foundation we have choosen to built our life upon. I wouldn't have it any other way and I am so humbled by countless blessings we have recieved. I am thankful for the priesthood which Robbie so strongly holds and cherishes. I am thankful for the love we feel from our ward and our family. I am thankful for the desire to become better and more christlike. I know it is because of the gospel that I always feel at peace. I know it is through the Lord that all is possible. And I know he will never stop loving me and teaching me as long as I am willing. I know that having the knowledge that my family can be together forever gives me joy beyond measure. And I know that I can be an instrument in his hands each and every day. I'm not out to sound preachy, just to testify of our Savior and the truths he wants to share and the willingness he has to be a beacon of light to each of us in the world today.

We had a fun 4th of July! Its been my favorite holiday for many years and next year I really need to celebrate more! We watched fireworks from our house because I wasn't sure if the kids would like the "boom!" but that was a bust and the fireworks just looked so tiny! We had friends over and had a BBQ and way to much sweets!! Why is it that we think just because its a holiday we can eat all we want!! (please tell me I'm not the only one that uses this excuse!)

The babies looked adorable in their outfits and they even got to stay up a few hours past their bedtime! However, that did NOT mean they slept in any longer, little stinks ;)

I love taking pictures! Especially of these two little bugs! We needed something to pass the time on Sunday so we played around with the camera! I must have snapped a million shots but these are some of the few that they were actually looking at me!!

This one below of Madden melts my heart! He was smiling up at his Dad and wanted nothing to do with me!! Robbie was gone all weekend so the babies were more than excited to have him home!

Anyway- enjoy MORE pictures of my sweet babies!! I can't stand to see myself in pictures so you won't see much of me, plus my babes are much better to look at!!!!

June Fesitivties

*Well another month has come and gone, and it's been a busy one! The babies have grown more in the month of June then the rest of their past months! They are up to 16+ pounds and it still upsets me that I struggle to carry them around in their carseat yet I still have my nasty flappy arms! I thought for sure it would help thin them out.. NOPE!

*Summer hit St George with a bang this year! I guess it was bound to happen, that amazing spring weather never lasts! I was honesty on a walk with the kids at 8 a.m. and didn't get far before I had to turn around because I was dying of heat! but summer does mean POOL TIME! I love the pool, I think its the most relaxing thing to do! Until I had kids that is. I'm still learning that everything in my life is now changed because of these little nuggets! However, they seem to like it. We can't ever stay in for that long but Madden just discovered how to splash and Bostyn realized you can also drink the water! (nasty?? ya I know, but it keeps her so happy and I get to enjoy myself!)

*We had family pictures done while we were in Logandale for a friends wedding! Laura Leavitt did a great job but I think I'll wait quite some time before trying to attempt this again! It.Was.HOT!!! The kids were screaming most of the time! Robbie wouldn't let me cut his hair but then changed his mind the NEXT MORNING! Agh.. I told him he could go pay someone to do it because I was so mad!! And my jeans were so stretched out that I had to pull them up every 10 seconds, which also isn't easy anymore with a baby in your hands! Anyway- despite all of that I think Laura got some fun shots and I can't wait to hang them in the house!

We(I) were so brave and left the kids with my mom and sister in law for a few days while we went to San Diego! I was thinking about it for weeks about how I was going to enjoy the sun and RELAX every second... nope! Didn't happen.... SURPRISE! Literally the sun was out for 10 minutes of our entire trip! We went to the beach and had to wear a jacket! The pool at the condo was always full! (I don't really like to swim with strangers!) We did get to go to a baseball game! My absolute FAVORITE thing to do in the world! It was the Padres Vs. Braves and I am a huge lover of Chipper Jones so sitting right behind the dugout was right up my alley! (whistle whistle!) We also went to the temple and some other historical LDS sites.. amazing. That's really all I can say, it was amazing! To escape the busy world and just enjoy the spirit and be overcome with emotion was the best ending to our trip. I had to add in a few temple pictures because I think the San Diego temple it beyond what any word can be used to describe it.

Any-who.. So many other things happened in June and I can't believe were in July and that we'll be married for 3 years on the 25th! Exciting!

OH WAIT! the greatest thing that happened in June... Baby Girl Butler was born! My best friend had her baby girl on June 30th! She happily welcomed her early arrival and she is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to meet her! Heather is my best friend and I couldn't be happier for her and her gorgeous little family!

Ok yea. Thats all I am going to blog about today! I think I've let Bostyn cry long enough in her crib!!! KIDDING............ maybe! ;)

Cafe Rio lovers.. this is for you!

I, like many others, love a good pork salad from Cafe Rio! I have attempted to make it many times from different recipes claiming to be the "real deal" Well in my opinion this is the closest it gets! It was SO yummy and addicting! The only thing different I did was instead of using a fresh lime for the dressing and rice, I just used the juice you can buy from the store.

Anyway- if any of you out there give this a try let me know what you think! We loved it and will for sure be making it again and again!!

SWEET PORK:

2 pounds pork (we like to use boneless pork ribs)

3 cans Coke (NOT diet)

1/4 c. brown sugar

dash garlic salt

1/4 c. water

1 can diced green chilies

3/4 (1ooz) can red enchilada sauce (I used Old El Paso brand, medium spiciness)

1 c. brown sugar

Put the pork in a heavy duty Ziploc bag to marinade. Add about a can and a half of coke and about 1/4 c. of brown sugar. Marinade for a few hours or overnight.

Drain marinade and put pork, 1/2 can of coke, water, and garlic salt in crock pot on high for about 3-4 hours (or until it shreds easily, but don't let it get TOO dry). Remove pork from crock pot and drain any liquid left in the pot. Shred pork.

In a food processor or blender, blend 1/2 can Coke, chilies, enchilada sauce and remaining brown sugar (about a cup, you can add a little more or less to taste..). If it looks too thick, add more Coke little by little.

Put shredded pork and sauce in crock pot and cook on low for 2 hours. That's it!

CILANTRO-LIME RICE:

1 c. uncooked rice

1 tsp. butter or margarine

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp. freshly squeezed lime juice

1 can (15 oz) chicken broth

1 cup water

1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice

2 tsp. sugar

3 tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro

In a saucepan combine rice, butter, garlic, 1 tsp. lime, chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook on low 15-20 minutes, until rice is tender. Remove from heat. In a small bowl combine lime juice, sugar and cilantro. Pour over hot cooked rice and mix in as you fluff the rice.

BLACK BEANS:

2 Tbsp. olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp. ground cumin

1 can black beans, rinsed and drained

1 1/3 c. tomato juice

1 1/2 tsp. salt

2 Tbsp. fresh chopped cilantro

In a nonstick skillet, cook garlic and cumin in olive oil over medium heat until you can smell it. Add beans, tomato juice, and salt. Continually stir until heated through. Just before serving stir in the cilantro. (**NOTE** we added a can of corn, drained, to the beans with a dash of cumin and chili powder, it was AWESOME! We recommend doing this even though it's not "traditional Cafe Rio")

CILANTRO RANCH:

1 packet TRADITIONAL Hidden Valley Ranch mix (not BUTTERMILK)

1 c. mayonnaise

1 c. buttermilk

2 tomatillos, remove husk, diced

1/2 bunch of fresh cilantro

1 clove garlic

juice of 1 lime

1 jalapeno (we like it SPICY so we kept the seeds in it, if you like it mild, just remove the seeds)

I've totally turned into one of those bloggers that only posts about her adorable babies! They control my life these days! We have been having a lot of fun and took our first road trip but of coarse I forgot to take pictures of that! We visited with Courtney and my best friend Heather up in Provo! Katie and Shelby came along for the ride and it was an adventure!! Never again will I leave this house without their swing and bouncer!

Anyway- things have been amazing and the kids are growing to fast!

@ 4 months...

Bostyn: 13.14 pounds and 24 inches

Madden: 14.2 pounds and 25 inches

FINALLY BIGGER THAN HIS SISTER!!

I've been so bad about taking pictures and home videos for them to see when they are older. I have the video camera out every day but have yet to use it! I will try to do better!

Well - I won't go on and on about how much I adore these litte ones so just enjoy the few pictures! And the pictures at the bottom are some of my favorites from a 2 year old photo shoot I did for a friend!!

...but of coarse instead I had to blog! Seems like thats how most days go! I have to decided between things.. Do I get dressed for the day or try to finish laundry? Do I actually do my hair or should I finish the dishes? Do I make dinner or make my bed? You may think I'm kidding... I'm not! (Jessica will understand!!!)

Yes, I absolutely love my kids but man-o-man are they work!! By the time Robbie walks in the door I'm burnt out! And Madden and Bostyn are GREAT babies! They don't fuss (to much), I can tell the difference between their crys so I (usually) know what they want! I have them on a schedule which helps with naps and nighttime. but MAN- it's still not easy!

We've had lots going on around here. Ok, maybe not LOTS but enough to keep us going! We were lucky enough to have BOTH of our cars in the shop costing us $800 to fix - awesome. Seems like since we've had our cars paid off we really haven't had any extra money every month because something always goes wrong!! I paid off the twins hospital stay and delivery the moment I received the bills yet somehow they never got them? I use to mail in payments until 5 checks just disappeared in the same month so I went to paying bills online and now thats not really fixing our problem either! I HATE PAYING BILLS!! Besides that the days seem to just fly by and most of the time I don't even know what day of the week it is! Robbie is super busy right now with work and school so most days he is only home to help get the kids ready for bed and the moment I lay them down it seems like I race into my bed and fall asleep before my head hits the pillow!

I don't really have anything exciting or really the "blog worthy" to write about so I will just share some pictures and maybe go get dressed for the day!!!

I have been loving every minute with these two babes! They are my whole life now and I wouldn't have it any other way! They are all smiles and lots of cuddles! They are changing everyday and I am so grateful that I am able to be at home with them and watch them as they discover their new world!

One of their favorite things to do it stare at the fan! They will lay for quite some time just smiling and "talking" to the fan! Cheap entertainment if you ask me!! Who needs baby toys!?

Don't mind that I just rolled out of bed and put some clothes on (which is how most days go!!) but I just love this picture with both of them! They are SO attentive and curious!

i LOVE this picture!! I just adore her HUGE eyes and big lips! Plus she makes for an extra cute little pink monster! I will have to upload the picture of Madden in his blue one!

BLESSING DAY!! What a great day this was with all of our friends and family! Rob is so amazing and did such a great job! The babes were on there best behavior and looked adorable! One of my clients made Bostyns dress and Madden actually wore Robbies blessing outfit!

Yes, this is the one decent picture I got of the two of them together! Lets just say that it had been a few days since Madden had "filled his diaper!" So he wasn't very happy while he was awake! Poor guy!

4 Generations! Great Grandma Nelson and Grandpa Trace! Look closely and Miss Bost is smiling at my grandma!! They LOVE her!!

Life is busy but we love it! The kids sleep great and Bostyn has been sleeping through the night! Madden goes 7 ours though so I can't complain! They are both getting VERY chubby! Close to 13 pounds now! The Dr. say they are no longer considered as premie babies and they are in the 75% on the charts!! Besides being kinda short! I put away all their newborn clothes yesterday! Whoever says newborn is from 5-8 pounds is nuts! They fit just fine up to 11 pounds on these two!!

I am so thankful for my life! It is perfect and I love going through changes together as a family! I have such a great support from family and I love seeing my brothers and sisters. I hope we can all live close someday because family IS all that matters. I am especially thankful for Robbie and how hard he works so I can be the one to raise our kids. I love him and the person that he is and think that he is the worlds greatest Dad! (next to my dad of coarse!!)

2 Months!

I cannot keep up! The past 2 months have gone by so quickly! My babes are changing everyday and giving me a run for my $$. I really can't complain because they are such great babies and sleepers but it is still a tough job! After Bostyn got over her surgery, Madden got RSV and she got a cold and double ear infection! So the last few days we've had lots of cuddle time and lots of naps, which i WILL NOT complain about!!

Changes this month:

MADDEN-

After losing all of his hair, it's now coming back in brown!

He smiles all the time from ear to ear and unfortunetly the only picture I have of that was when I put his sisters bow on his head! Should I be worried!?

He is very alert and loves to be held sitting up so he can see what's going on!

Loves watching TV, I can lay him on the floor and he will watch for quite some time!

He finally is enjoying his bath time but still hates getting out!

Last week he weighed in at 9 lbs 8 oz and 22 inches long. (only 2 oz to go to catch up to sister!)

Wakes up once at night but goes right back to sleep after he eats.

BOSTYN-

Losing her hair strawberry blonde hair on top, but its still coming in in the back!

Got a bit behind from her surgery so she is trying to catch up to brother.

Smiles with her tounge sticking out!

Still goes cross-eyed most of the time!

Has the biggest blue eyes I've ever seen on a baby!

Loves her daddy!

Loves sleeping in her crib!! (last night she loved it so much she sleep for 7.5 hours!)

Weighed in at 9 lbs 10 oz and 22 inches long, yet somehow she looks HUGE next to Madden

I tried taking their 2 month pictures today but they weren't loving it! I'll wait for them to feel better next time! I've recently read "BABY WISE" and LOVED it. I started the recommened schedule 2 days ago and the kids have done GREAT at night. Only getting up once. They are learning to put themselves to sleep and will only cry for less than 5 mintues before they pass out! I for sure recommend this book to zombie mothers!

They are going to be blessed in two weeks and I can't wait! One of my clients made Bostyns dress and it is so beautiful!!

Other than that, life is going so wonderfully and I apologize for the long post but since I know I don't always have time to do this I just had a lot to get in!! Hope everyone is doing so great!!!!

One crazy week!

My poor little lover has had one hell of a week!

We found out last friday that Robbies grandma had passed away so last minute he got on a plane and went out to Idaho. I decided I'd go to vegas and stay with my mom so I could have help with the kids for the weekend... and boy did I need help!

Bostyn had been throwing up occasionally and I wasn't worried at first because I thought it was normal for a new baby. Well it got much worse and to the point that she was throwing up every feeding and multiple times in between. 3:30 a.m. rolled around and Bostyn and I had been up all night because she just wouldn't stop vomiting. So after much debate my mom and I headed to the E.R in Las Vegas because my poor baby was looking terrible. The Dr. seriously looked at her for one minute and told me she had a bad stomach flu and that it would pass. So one LARGE POINTLESS bill later we were back at my moms. She didn't get any better on Sunday so my dad and brother gave her a blessing (and one for me too because I couldn't stop crying!) And after that my dad felt strongly that we needed to go back to St. George in the morning and see our peds Dr. Right when our Dr. saw her he knew something was wrong and ordered an ultra sound. Come to find out she had Pyloric Stenosis and needed emergency surgery.

Pyloric Stenosis is a condition where the pyloris muscle between the stomach and intestine closes off and when that muscle tightens it doesn't allow food to pass through to the bowels. and she couldn't keep anything down for 3 straight days so she was starving to death.

Having to watch your one-month old baby go into surgery has to be one of the hardest things I have ever done. I think the whole week hurt me more than it did her! She is home now and still trying to recover. She isn't quite her normal self yet but today she is finally eating more normal and keeping it all down. I feel so bad for her but I know she feels so much better than a few days ago.

This picture was right after surgery. She was so worn out and finally got some solid sleep after 4 days and hardly any at all. Where that tape is, is where her scare is (about inch and a half long) So after a very long few days things are finally getting a little better.

Besides all of that things have been going really well and the kids are growing like weeds. We love them more and more every day.

My life as a MOM!

I can't believe I have already had my little lovers here for 3 weeks! I feel like the last 3 week of my pregnancy were never going to end! Things have been so great!! The babes are so wonderful and growing up to fast! We go to the Dr. every week and this week they had both gained 11 ounces! Bostyn is growing the cutest double chin you ever will see and Madden is filling out as handsome as ever! They are starting to be more awake but still sleep most of the day! They wake up to eat every 3-4 hours and once during the day they both sleep for about 5 hours! It's so nice! I am getting plenty of rest and loving every minute of being a mom!

Being a mom has got to be the best thing that has ever happened to me! I have always wanted kids but never knew it would be like this! I just look at them and have a better understanding of life and the gospel and my purpose. They are so amazing and have brought such a different kind of love into our home.

We've had lots of visitors over and its been great! Our friends and family are such an amazing support to our new little family! We are truly blessed. Robbie has got to be the cutest Dad ever! My favorite part of the day is him coming home from work and picking one of the kids up and telling them he missed them and how he loves them! He has been SUCH a great help! I have to make him stay in bed sometimes at night to get some sleep but more times than not he is out helping me every time. And he loves it! You see a different side of your husband when they are with their babies and I think it is the greatest gift of all!

I tried to get some cute pictures but it just made me realize there is a reason people get paid to take newborn pictures!! Doesn't she have such a sweet face!?! And i love her big ol' lips!

Madden looks like an old man in this picture!! I adore him! He is SUCH a sweet baby and just loves to cuddle and look at you! He is starting to eat more than his sister so he will catch up in no time to her!

Where to begin!

After staying over night at the hospital and getting sent home the next morning I was pretty sad to leave the hospital still pregnant! But the following day at my appointment I was still dilating further (I was at a 5+ and 90% thinned out) and contracting 2-3 minutes apart so after much discussion we decided that 1-19-11 would be the day to meet my babies!

I was so nervous for the surgery! But honestly it wasn't bad at all! I said to the Dr. to let me know when he was about to put in my spinal, but he just laughed and said, "You didn't feel that? Its already done!" What a relief! Couldn't feel a thing! It was hard for them to get Bostyn out so one Dr. had to practically jump on my stomach to get her out! It was so weird because there was no pain just SO MUCH pressure I thought a truck had landed on me! Then Madden just came right out with a little wimper! Then I was off to recovery. I couldn't believe how fast it all went. Everyone was so amazing and nice so it really made the experience wonderful.

Although I can't really remember this, here is meeting my babies for the first time!!! LOVE at first sight!

Holding hands!! It's so much fun to lay them by each other and watch them interact! They love sleeping super close at night. Bostyn is always stretched out and Madden always curled in a ball. Just like in the belly!!

Bostyn kept sucking on his hands while they were bonding!! And he used his other hand to grab her throat!! Oh boy, sibling drama already!

I absolutely LOVE the moments when my babies just stare at me or Robbie. I'm so glad we got this picture. Madden is SUCH a sweet baby and such a fighter! His hospital experience was tramatic for him but he pushed through and got to come home the same day as sister!!

We spend 9 days in the hospital. Madden had a premature suck so he wasn't taking in enough food on his own and was being tube fed half the time. He just got so tired taking the bottle. All the nurses were so amazing and understanding. I know I probably seemed like a crazy mom but they all put up with me and helped me get my baby home.

I could go on and on about their birth and first weeks of life but lets be honest, I only have so much free time and I would love a nap!! :) Things are going so good and c-section recovery wasn't bad at all. I feel great and am so amazed at how fast your stomach can return to normal! The human body is so amazing!

I LOVE my babies more than anything and watching Robbie with them has changed my whole world! I have the best, cutest little family!! robbie is the sweetest dad and loves his babies! He helps me out SO much and loves to love on them both! We are so blessed to have these babies here. Now the real "fun" begins!!

I haven't been the best at taking pictures but I will work on it and post some another time!

I'm sorry all of my posts have been about the babies but lets face it, it's a pretty exciting time! We've had SO much going on lately. Which has been nice to help the time pass! But now that I spend my days mostly at home by myself I'm sure it's going to slow down!

I was so very spoiled (or should I say these babies are spoiled) because we had 3 baby showers! One at my mom's with my grandma and aunts, one in Morgan over thanksgiving with Rob's aunts and cousins and one in St. George with all of my friends here! :) I am pretty sure I collected more than enough goods to get us started! After I put most of the clothes away there was about 100 outfits for these little monkeys!

I have been feeling pretty good considering! About a month ago I was having constant contractions and was told by the Dr. to pretty much be on bed rest for a bit. But weeks went by and I have felt much better and still have a lot of energy. I am down to my weekly visits so we'll just go a week at a time with what I can and cannot do on a daily basis. I've had a great support with my friends keeping me company and taking good care of me. But I really think I am lucky to feel as good as I do. I may not sleep well and may not be about to get up from the couch without some help but it could always be worse!

Here's a belly pic at 28 weeks, every day it just get bigger! I've gained 40 pounds already and can't believe how fast it all happened! But as long as these two are healthy thats all that matter!

Also, the nursery! That's been my big project and I've loved doing it! I'm not quite finished yet but just needed to take a break!

I feel like I could type for hours about all that we've been up to, but it's nothing that grand! Just busy stuff! Only one more week of school for us and then we will love to be able to spend time together again! Robbie is so busy with work and finishing the semester he deserves a break! I hope everyone is doing wonderful and enjoying the holiday season!

Katie and Shelby came home with us after Aaron and Amy's reception saturday night and staying a few days! I absolutely LOVE when people come visit me! Having company is the best! :) (yes this is an open invitation for everyone!!) Anyway. After church we needed something to do and so many people have been making candy apples and I was for sure craving some! We were so excited about eating them that we didn't make them quite right!! The candy slid down as the carmel set up! Oops!

We made smore flavored with marshmallows and gram-crackers and chocolate!, kit-kat, apple pie, and my personal favorite of the batch was a mint chocolate covered Oreo! YUM!!!!

We are spending the weekend in Las Vegas and I am so excited to have a few days with my whole family! My sisters are throwing me a little baby shower with all the LV family so that should be fun!! I will be sure to blog about that next week!

...23 1/2 weeks...

I decided I better keep better track of this pregnancy so later on I will have something to compare it to when we have more kids (someday WAY down the road!) I haven't ever recored how I feel, things I crave, etc.. So better late than never!

We are slowly getting the nursery started. Madden has his crib and bedding up and Bostyn should have hers up this week! My mom got us a travel system that the car-seats can click into. Which should be nice even though it feels like your pushing a boat around!! We found our bedding on Amazon.com, it was hard to find two that were the same pattern just different colors! But we love what we found!

I am thinking I want to paint the green stripes behind his bed and pink ones behind hers! Also with their names above the cribs in vinyl lettering! I LOVE VINYL!

As for me, I have been feeling good! Every day that goes by it does get harder to work and do house chores but I just use a heat pad every night and it seems to help. I was told by me Dr. that after thanksgiving he doesn't want me working anymore.. which at first I was super put out about but now I am ok with it! My back hurts every day And I don't want any stress from that putting me into an early labor.

People say I look small but I don't see that! I just know how to hide it well! At my Dr. visit last week I had a reality check when I had to get on the scale! I have already gained 25 pounds and I still have a ways to go! I'm not one to be shy about my weight and I never care if people know how much I weight.. not a big deal to me so I will be sure to give everyone a grand total at the end of all this!

I still can sleep at night but do wake up about 3-5 times from movements and bathroom breaks! But I could stay up all night seeing and feeling their little kicks! I think I have been having Braxton hicks? Im not positive but about 5 times a day my stomach gets super tight and I can't really move or breath! I notice it more when I am super busy (which is most days)

Thats about it though. I eat to much and workout to little! I can't wait to meet these little nuggets and hold them and kiss them! My life has changed since the second I found out they were on their way.. I just want to be the best I can be for them....

Robbie is just as excited! He rubs my belly all the time and he has got to feel them kick a few times. More than anything I just can't wait to see him holding our babies for the first time. Thats what I look forward to the most out of all of this! He is going to be such a great and fun dad! I just adore him and appreciate all hid hard work. We don't see much of each other these days between work and school. He is a busy BUSY guy and he is worn out.. The picture below literally he feel asleep in 1 minute. I was talking to him.. walked into our room.. came back out and this is what I found!!

We got to see our little babies again today and have them all checked out! It was so fun!! My mom came up so she could see her grand-babies too! So far things look great! We had a 100% conformation that they are boy and girl, which we couldn't be happier about! I am struggling with a cute nursery idea as fas as bedding for both of them that matches but thats boy and girlie!! So any suggestions or ideas are welcome!

Our little girl was a peach during the visit and did everything the tech needed her to! She has a good strong heart beat and a very round belly! Weighs more than her brother so far and is so cute! I wish the pictures were as clear as what we got to see but I was just in awe the whole time! To me she looks just like Robbie with her long face and perfect lips and nose! ADORABLE!

Now little man was another story!! AGAIN he just didn't want to cooperate! After he spread his legs that was about it! Im talkin' he would complete flip over EVERY time the tech was about to get a clear shot! Stubborn already??? Hmm... :) He just wants to be sure his sister doesn't get all of the attention I guess!

Some people think its to soon to tell the names we are going to use but I don't really care! And there are those that don't care for the names we've decided to use and that's ok too! We love them and they both have meaning to Robbie and myself and that's what matters right!!?! :) I named him and Rob choose her name! So from here on out we will refer to them not as baby a and b or the boy and girl but:

Welcome FALL!!

Oh how I LOVE the fall season!! Everything about it! The decorations, the soups, the colors, and weather! Although it was still 100 degrees today it did not stop me from going to Michaels and picking up somethings to make a wreath for the door! The picture below was the finishing project! I got all done and excited to put it up and realized that I ruined my door hanger thing last year so I need to go buy a new one so I can put it up!

Looking at it now I should have added two more little scarecrow dolls for the babies! Maybe I will just put a cotton ball under the girls dress!!

This is the time of year I LOVE to get crafty, so if any of you are ever bored and want to get together I am all for a girls craft night!! I will be making the halloween wreath in just a few weeks so just let me know!

On another note: life is great and flying by! I finally broke down and bought some maternity clothes! My belly decided over night to start to really show and being at work all day I really wanted to just be comfortable! I have been feeling great and have had lots of energy to get things done. I would say the hardest part about this pregnancy is the back pain. I was always told I would have troubles with my back carrying babies but I never knew just how bad it would really hurt! But I really can't complain besides that! Robbie is as busy as EVER! He is so wonderful! He comes home at the end of his L-O-N-G days and just looks so tired and beat but he NEVER complains! I just love him!!

Ultra sound and update!

We got to go to our ultra sound this morning and it was amazing! I knew it would be neat but how no idea what an experience it would be! I loved every minute of it and was smiling ear to ear the whole time!! The pictures aren't the best because I had to take a picture of a picture but you can still see them! There is for sure two babies still in there! That was my biggest concern to go in and they say there was only one. So right off the bat I was put to ease!

Baby A is the smaller of the two, heart rate of 142 and appears to be very healthy and calm! Baby B is a stubborn little thing! Rolling around all over the place and crossing its little legs! Has a full belly and long arms and a heart rate of 158!

The lady said she isn't a gambling woman but if she were she would say the twins are BOY and GIRL! But we will see! We aren't going to be setting up a nursery or picking out names until its 100% FOR SURE! We would love her to be right and to have one boy and one girl, but we will be so happy either way!

Now that I am in the second trimester I am feeling SO much better! The past two weeks have been heaven compared to before! I am still so tired and now my hips and back KILL, but at least I don't want to puke every second! I still don't like eating any thing sweet, which is crazy because I am an ice cream LOVER but can't eat it! I am loving rice and beans mainly! But can pretty much eat anything, oh besides drinking water. I do it because i HAVE to, not because i enjoy it! Gag me! I am starting to show but its weird because some days there is no hiding it and somedays I wear my jeans and you can't even tell one bit! I have gained 5 pounds in 3 1/2 months.. I don't know if that is good or bad! But I know I will get huge! And thats ok!

We are so excited for these babies to get here! I can't wait to meet them and kiss their baby soft skin! I am already so so so in love and love talking to them at night! They let me sleep SOO much better if i rub my belly before I go to bed! Which is funny because I LOVED to be rubbed and tickled as a baby so I wonder if they will too!

We are having TWINS! We found out the day before leaving to Puerto Rico and boy was it a huge surprise! I was by myself at the appointment and had a little breakdown when my Dr. told me the news! At first I was crying because I was in shock, then because I was so scared, and then because I knew these babies were such a huge blessing from our Heavenly Father. I knew he was trusting us to bring these babies into this world and raise them up in the gospel and be the best parents we can to them!

Yes - I am terrified! I don't know how I am going to do it! We don't have any family near us and I was just getting started in school and working at the salon has been keeping me busy! I know things are about to change... for the better of coarse! But I don't even think I know where to begin!!! Thank heavens for my wonderful friends who have already offered to help and a huge thanks in advance to Jessica for all of the questions she is going to have to answer for me!!!!

I wasn't able to get any print outs of the ultrasound but I did take a few pictures with my cell phone! And this picture just shows the two different sacs the babies are in! I have a picture of each baby too but its a little hard to see with my cell phone quality! But in 2 more weeks I get to go back and get another ultrasound so hopefully those pictures turn out a bit better!!!

PUERTO RICO!!

We finally got to take our trip to Puerto Rico! It was a long 4 months of waiting but well worth it! A week full of relaxing and enjoying the beaches and the Butler Family! You have no idea how nice it was to NOT do my hair or wear make up for a whole week!!! (not wearing make up was simply because it would only melt right off my face!!) I never knew humidity could be so awful! I kept telling Heather that I had no idea how she dealt with it! Maybe because I am pregnant and already so hot and uncomfortable all the time!

I wish I could remember all the names of the places we went but I don't!! We spent a few days at different beautiful beaches, one day out hiking around in the rainforest to see a waterfall! Swimming, shopping and just having a good time! I have the best husband in the world for making this trip possible for me! I don't know how we will be able to do it again after these two little babies get here!

Thanks Heather and Jake for letting us stay with you and invade your apartment! (and for letting me turn the AC on!!! ;) We love you guys and appreciate your wonderful friendship!!!

So I told myself over and over that when the day came when I was pregnant I wasn't going to tell ANYONE until we were at least 3 months along! Well lets be honest! Some secrets are just to good to keep!

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!

I have so much to say I don't even know where to start!!

Some of you know that I wanted to start my family more than anything! I love kids and couldn't wait for the day that I would become a mom myself! When we first were married we really didn't want to wait long before we had kiddos, well the Lord had another plan in mind! I had become very sick from a birth control shot I had a few months before getting hitched. We had been to Dr's multiple times always leaving with no further knowledge on what the issue was. Which was ok, but I broke down .... a lot! I know 2 years is NOT a long time and there are SO many girls that I know that have to wait many more years but when its you it feels like an eternity! And I now pray for those I know that struggle because it isn't easy.

I had started on a fertility medication and that was the ticket! It worked the first round! I swear I knew I was pregnant that week but after having another check up with the Dr. and telling how I was feeling they had said that the meds can make you experience the same things you would if you were pregnant. So I was disappointed and went on just not feeling 100%. Weeks went by and it was my sisters wedding so I knew I didn't want to take a test and take away from any excitement from her big day. So when we got home I still waited a few days because I was just so nervous!!

When I finally took a test I didn't know what to think! I didn't know if I read it wrong or what! So I called a friend and my Dr.! Well I was totally in denial for a few hours. I thought there was no way this was actually happening! My Dr. came into the salon that evening and literally had to reassure me that this was for real and that i WAS actually pregnant!

When I got home I had a little gift for Rob (pic below) and when he opened it he was SO confused! He thought it was for a baby shower and was wondering why I would put the pregnancy test in with it! What a nerd! It took him a bit to realize it was all for him! He is SO happy and really hoping for a little boy! (we both do! I need a little baseball player!!)

Anyway! Thats our great news! I am not far along, only about 10 weeks and due the end of February! My little nugget is kicking my butt and wears me out already! I am still in such amazement at the whole process!

Oh and one more thing!! And not to sound rude but I just want to say that if any of you know anyone who struggles to get pregnant PLEASE be careful the things you say to them! I know people probably don't mean to offend others but it is such a painful thing to experience and what you say really can crush someone! Just encourage them and love and pray for them! And whatever you do.... don't ever tell someone "well.. maybe the Lord just doesn't want you to be a mother." I promise it doesn't help!!

I went down to Vegas this weekend for Courtney's bridal shower! We had so much fun and had a good turn out! The wedding is just two weeks ago! I can't believe how fast it went by. We went out early this morning and took a few bridal shots. She has a gal who is going to photograph the wedding day at the temple so she just wanted a few at a different location.

The sun was SO bright this morning! I was getting so worried that all the pictures would have the "squinty-eye" look! But we came out with a few good ones!! I still need to learn what the best time of day would be to go out and take pictures!! I have no clue what I am doing!!

"I thank the Lord for any given day..."

Every Sunday after I wake up, I go to the computer and turn on my pandora.com radio!! I type in "Hilary Weeks" so that pandora will search for her music and others like it.. Well today is just like any other! I sang my little heart out this morning while listening to the spiritual music while getting ready for church! Sometimes I just sit in this room and listen to every beautiful word. I am humbled every Sunday while I keep at this tradition! Music is such a powerful tool in my life. I find it impossible to sit here, listening to this music, thinking of anything but that sacrifice that was made in order for me to live today.

My life is so very blessed. I have a mother who is selfless in every way and a father who has an attitude on life that I have always admired. An older brother who is so honest and who has been right there for me whenever I needed him. A sister in law with such a great desire to do and learn more. My baby sister who has been the great reminder I have needed to remember to never judge another and to always believe in others when they may seem lost. And my pride and joy little brother who I admire in every way. He will change lives someday with the unique spirit he has always carried.

The lord let me travel down one rocky road to figure out who I really was. At times I doubted his love for me because I thought he was taking away everything I ever loved. I could have never been more wrong. So many amazing people came into my life and influenced me for the better. But just when I thought I had lost everything, my wonderful husband showed up and showed me everything I never knew I was looking for. The Lord does has a plan for each of us and I am so grateful he is trusting Robbie and I to build an eternal family.

And I could not be more blessed than to have the friends that I do. Growing up, my parents always tried to teach me that friendships would change and that if you only had a small handful of true friends then your life would be blessed. I can honestly say they were right. My life is better because of those friends in my life, and I hope they know who they are.

Sorry if this post was a bit to personal, but today I am so grateful for my life and every blessing I have. My savior is near and I know I am loved and protected. The greatest gift I have ever received is the gift of the gospel that I live. The power and light of its truth has brought immense joy into my life. I want my friends and family, and all of you, to know that I believe with all of my heart that the church is true and that because of the sacrifice that was made for each of us, we will one day return to live with our Savior. And nothing else in the world will matter, nothing will make us think any less of others, all that we once worried about will all seem so small, there will be unconditional love around us... and I look forward to that day.

My beautiful sister and Tyler asked me to take their engagement pictures for them! I was so honored and excited!! I search photography websites often just because I love pictures! I hope to become as talented as many gals I have seen! I don't have an editing program or anything so these pictures are just pretty basic but I still love them! We took tons, but I decided just to show a few of my favorites!

In fact I get a choked up just typing this, but their type of love is a blessing and should be an example to many others around of an unconditional love.

"..But as far as I can see, I've got everything I want..."

I wanted to blog about my hubby today! He just got promoted at work to a "suit and tie" guy! And I just think he looks so handsome! Rob and Burton are the best of friends so he had to be in the pictures too! (along with burtons chew toy, which just so happens to be an old bra that he loves.. so please excuse that!!)

Robbie is such an amazing husband! He never complains and I think lately he has been doing the laundry WAY more than me!! With us both working and in school all day it can sometimes be hard to do the chores! I just want everyone to know how proud I am of my love! He is such a hard worker and deserves this promotion!

Things have just been falling into place for us. With the house and Robbie's job, we just feel so blessed!

Eventful Saturdays!

We had such a fun/eventful Saturday! After work we thought it would be fun to take Burton to Sand Hollow and see how he would do in the water! Byron and Katie met with us with their tiny little puppy Kadence! We had so much fun and Burt LOVED the water! Except for when little waves came toward him he would try to jump over them! And he wouldn't just walk in the water.. he would jump to get anywhere!

Then we went to our house and had a little BBQ! And while the boys wanted to play the Xbox, Katie and I decided to make a trip to Walmart and find something "girly" to do! I'm not sure how many of you follow the MAKE-IT-AND-LOVE-IT Blog but I sure do and I have been wanting to make these little hemp balls forever!

Katie and I would have made more but we were running out of the string so we will have to finish later!! The pictures below are backwards in order! But Enjoy!

Clark County Fair!

We headed down the the fair Thurday night because one of Robbie's good friends was performing, City of Ashburn, I was sad that we were only going to be there for a few hours but it was still so fun! I love running into old friends and catching up! We met up with my sister and Tyler and I love every second of being with them because they are SO SO SO happy!!! Bring around them just makes everyone happy! I love it!

Rob and I headed down to Vegas for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and Easter with my family! I love every chance I get to visit my amazing family (although I wish they still lived in Logandale!) We had such a fun weekend and were sad we had to come home. My birthday was on Saturday but since we were going to Vegas Rob took me out on Thursday and gave me the BEST PRESENT EVER! (i forgot to get a picture) but he hands me a packing box and when I open it there is tons of shredded paper bound to make a mess! But then inside an envelope was a PLANE TICKET for Puerto Rico to go visit Heather and Jake! Heather is my best friend and I have missed her so much and I am seriously so so grateful to my husband for helping me go see her! He is coming to so you know he isn't complaining!! Anyway, I have been so excited and can't wait to go! My family spoiled me rotten as well with more than I needed! Katie made me a cake and it was her first one! I was so impressed!! She did a great job! *pictures are out of order!*

So all in all, the weekend was great but now we have to get back to school and work! One more month until the semester is over! Then I will get a week off before summer semester but Rob is taking it off so he will have a break but just have to work more! We love our life and are so so blessed! I look forward to each new day and the opportunities I am given.

I have the best family and the greatest friends! Life is GOOD!

Little update on our life!

I can't seem to keep up! I can't believe February is almost over too! Life is BUSY! So busy! But we wouldn't have it any other way! Lately I just feel like that Brad Paisley song when it says, "doesn't get any better than this!!"

I have loved going to school and I feel like I am really supposed to be there! I have gained such respect for those who are going to school full time+ and working full time+! Its hard! I used to always get after Robbie because he was always so tired and I wanted to hang out and go do stuff! But now I know how he feels! So we live our happy TIRED life together!!!

I guess first off I can introduce our puppy! Burton Boy! He is our little baby! He is 11 weeks old now and so cute! Robbie and I think that the pictures make him look so mean!! I promise he's not!! But his ears always do stand up like the picture below! We love taking him on walks and since this weather is absolutely amazing we are really trying to stay outside a lot!

We have a little flower plot in the back yard and he loves to lay it in and soak up the sun!

Oh we were also called to team teach the CTR-6 class in our ward! Its so fun! We've never had to calling together so its so fun to teach together! The kids are so cute and quite the little personalities!

I guess thats about it for us! Life is perfect and we couldn't ask for more. It may not be much but the 5 hours we get to spend together a week is so wonderful! I'm crazy in love with Robbie and I couldn't imagine a day without him!

I am so excited for 2010. I feel like its going to be a great year! We are going to be so busy both being in school full time and working as much as we can to pay those things they call "bills!" We have been so blessed the past two years and we are so grateful for all of our family and friends who have been the best support system we could ask for. Last year went by so fast I can't even believe it! I hope this year I can make time for the things that matter most in life, and I really hope I can spend more time learning about the Savior and devoting more of my time becoming closer to his plan for us.

Well we had a great year and I sure can't believe it is over! I'm do excited to get starting on 2010. I think I may even stick to my new years resolutions! (maybe!)

My family come up New Years Eve and we had a blast! Ate way to much food and had a great laugh playing games! We were so into our game that we didn't realize it was 11:59! So we joined in the countdown 7..6..5..4..3..2..1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Then we played around all day in St. George.. we of coarse had to go out for Thai and Sushi.. followed by the Orange Peel. Family Tradition! I LOVE having my family at my house. We have so much fun!

Holy Cow! Is it really half way through December already! I can't even believe it, I've looked forward to this month for so long and I feel like I haven't even got to enjoy it yet! Well I mean I have enjoyed it but it has just gone by way to fast!

We don't have to much exciting going on besides that life is flying by! Robbie finished up school for the semester so now we will have a few weeks until we are both in school and working full time! Its going to be an adventure!

I got to go see Heather last weekend and how I wish I could have stayed the whole week, or month! It was so much fun getting to see her again and catch up.. and by catch up I do mean eat more than necessary and spend more money on home decor than one human being needs! But it sure was fun! I have learned so much in the past few years but I really think the most important thing has been that to have such great friends like her its truly a heaven sent blessing! We were having to much fun to take pictures so we got the one below just as she was dropping me off to meet Rob.

And the following pictures of how I spent my day today! I love cooking, it is very theraputic for me. No lie I literally had a cheesy smile on my face the whole day, singing along to CMT and dancing around in the kitchen getting flour and powder sugar everywhere! (Im glad no one got a glimps of that!)

Usually when I bake I take out on ingredient at a time, scoop whats needed and put it away before I get the next one just so I don't have a mess... but NOT today! I just went crazy! My little kitchen was cluttered and DiRtY!

My sink was over flowing!! And I was hoping Robbie would get home from work and offer to do them for me.. BUT that didn't happen!

Then the finished product! (and no thats not all I made in 6 hours!) We had about 6 plates full that looked like this!
There is a bundt cake with a cream cheese and chocolate chip filling (thank you sister lunt for the recipe!) Then we have oreo truffles - YUM, pumpkin rolls, and banana bread!

What a day! A great day! Anyway - Our house is all decorated but I didn't take any pictures! And our tree this year is awesome. I love it, but I can't get a good picture. It just looks lame on my camera! Guess ya'll will have to come over and see it and for heavens sake - eat some treats while your here!!

My brother and sister in law came up for the weekend and we had a BLAST! We went to Kolab to my friends cabin, the weather was beautiful and it was so nice to just get away! While they were down I told them I would take their family pictures for them so my brother took a few for us and I edited them! (although Im having a hard time uploading them so I hope this works)

I just thought I'd post this yummy soup for everyone to try!! (that means you Heather!) I love the fall and winter seasons because I love making soups! I hope all of you that try this enjoy it as much as we do!!

VEGGIE CHEESE CHOWDER

3 Cups potatoes (chop into little bite sizes cubes)

1 small onion finely chopped

1 stalk of broccoli, finely chopped (i just rip off the top parts of the broccoli stems!)

1 1/2 medium carrots, grated (you can buy them grated already and I used 1/2 the small bag)

2 stalk celery chopped up

3 Cups water

4 chicken bouillon cubes

Place ingredients into a large pot, cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender. While veggies are cooking prepare white sauce:

1/2 Cup butter

1/2 Cup flour

1 1/2 tsp. Salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

4 Cups milk

Melt butter in a saucepan in low heat. Stir in Flour, salt and pepper, Cook over medium heat until bubbly, stirring constantly, Cook 1 minute. Stir in milk slowly. cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly until mixture reaches a boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Pour white sauce into cooked veggies, Stir in 2 cups of cheddar cheese.

ENJOY!

I have been so excited for this time of year!! I think I've held off long enough of pulling out the fall decorations! I went to pebbles in my pocket (in st george by Christensen's) and found this cute kit to make these fun pumpkins! All you need is wood blocks, craft paper, paint and of COARSE Mod Podge!

I love them! They are so so fun and cute! Just thought I'd give all you ladies out there, who like to craft, an idea!

We had the opportunity to attend the Sealing of some good friends of ours on Thursday! It was so fun to be a part of their special day! The reception was so pretty and we are so happy for the Larsens!

Boy Brag!

So some of my friends did some really cute posts about their Husbands and I thought the idea was great so I decided to jump on the boy brag train! Although my Husband never sees our blog so he'll probably never even see this!

Robbie ROCKS! He is seriously so great! At times (as I'm sure you ALL experience) I do stress BUT I wouldn't ever go back and have it any other way! Did you know that in the past 2 years I've never heard him complain? Not once! And in the 14 months we've been married, although he may forget to say Thank you once in a while!!, he NEVER ever is negative! Even if I try to push his buttons just to get a rise out of him!

He is going to school full time and working full time. He is a very busy man and an extremely hard worker! He may hate the fact that he is only half way done with school but he isn't about to give up! Most days he's up by 4:30 and going and going all day long!

You will never hear this man say anything bad about anyone! He has the ability to see the good in everyone around him (which has been a great example for me). He isn't a man of many words but He'd be the first one to drop everything for a friend.

I thank our Heavenly Father often for blessing my life with someone so easy going and who has such an amazing testimony! I love my husband with all my heart! I can't wait to see what the future holds for us or where we will end up!!

My NeW fAvOrItE hObBiE!!!!

I have always loved those fun cute watches that every girl in Utah seems to own! So I decided this week that I would learn to make them! I LOVE IT! I have only done the two shown below, the brown one I've had for awhile.

Anyway I just think they are so cute! I'm going to place a order of beads and watch faces and start making these bad boys! And eventually maybe try to sell them for a much better price than what they normally sell for since I'm not a pro! Let me know what you think! And if you'd like I'd love to make you some! Any color you just say the word!

I love having the plain watch face so it can match with any band!

Our new home!!!

Finally back in the Internet world! Rob and I just made a big move out to Hurricane so we were out of touch for a few weeks with all of our blogging buddies! And since my dearest friend moved WAY to far away from me this post is to update her with our lives and new house and adventures!

We had a wonderful opportunity to move to Hurricane and live in such a wonderful home and neighborhood! We honestly couldn't be happier! Since we both grew up in such small towns we really missed that feel you get from a town where its always so peaceful and you can always have the smell of the fresh cut grass and hay! One of my VERY favorite things! Not that St. George is a HUGE place but it was to much for me! I feel like I'm home.. only no one knows about my life therefore there is no drama!! So its perfect!

Let me give you the tour!!
**Note.. since we've only been here a short time I haven't had time to hang photos or decorate the way I'd like to - so don't judge me!!**

This is the Master Bathroom! Kinda hard to tell but it really is a good size and MUCH bigger than our old place!

Please ignore the towel NOT in the hamper! But this is just our new dresser in our bedroom!

And here we have our bed! And yes under the bed is a balloon! Rob just had a birthday and that's where he chose to keep his balloons! And here its hard to tell but our bedroom really is quite large as well! Tons of extra space and the closet is a great size for all our crap!

The view into our living room from the upstairs! Aghh - I swear it will look better once its decorated! But for now Heather this picture will have to do!

Our Kitchen! We got to paint the walls how we wanted and we only did the kitchen and one wall in the living room for now! And the other half of this picture is a large dining area to the right!

..and guest vanity area! (there are actually two of these vanity areas downstairs with huge storage space and closets)

To the right of this picture is our washer and dryer space but i didn't think anyone would care to see our washer and dryer so just use your imagination here! And just so you know the color scheme is CORAL and brown!! Rob and my brother argued it was PINK! But its not! These pictures are just deceiving!

Also in our living room we have a random TEAL table that I've painted and haven't decided what to do with it yet! So for now it just sits in the living room and serves as a great table for Rob to do homework!

From the front entrance.. you can see down the hall which goes to the guest bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, garage and kitchen! We joked that the stairway space reminded us of the shape of Nevada! So we'd always have my family in mind! (use your imagination.. can you see NV!!?) Also of coarse we have the TEXAS STAR finally hanging up!! We're proud of that one!

And not pictured was the garage since it just stores our toys, four wheeler, bikes and boxes! As well as the guest bedroom and the upstairs second room which is our computer/craft room where I spend my spare time working on projects!

We LOVE our new place and our new ward is great! We are surrounded by great people out here and are really excited to spend the next long while out here!

As far as everything else... Robbie is back in school so we are back to seeing each other maybe once a week! Our life is so busy but honestly its the best! We are so blessed in SO many ways! I've been on a high lately just thinking of how lucky we REALLY are. Besides that my bestie lives miles and mile away and there are days that I am very down and miss her - I really can't complain!

The post below about all my dizziness and what not.. the solution is NOT because I am pregnant! (although we do wish that were the case... its not!)

I've been to 3 doctors/specialist and have 2 more to go to so they can get to the bottom of whatever is going on. Even though our co-pay isnt much I still wish I didn't have to pay them just to have the Dr. refer me to a DIFFERENT doctor....

As my dizziness and headaches worsen each day I have faith I will find a Doctor who can help me understand whats going on! And after we figure all this out and how we are going to fix it I can then go back to the "women dr." ;) and she can help us understand more about the FREAKING depo shot I got that has been the start of my problems!

Until then! I will continue to live each day feeling like I just stepped off the Yo-Yo at a carnival and at any given moment my head may bust.

Anniversary Vacation!

Robbie and I celebrated our ONE YEAR anniversary on July 25th! We took some time of work and headed out of town!! Friday to Monday we went to California. Our intentions were to go to Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor and the beach.. well I've been having some issues lately and everything makes me dizzy. So after one water ride on Friday I had about had enough! I made it on 4 before I just couldn't take it any longer so we went back to our GHETTO hotel and tried to just relax and all I wanted to do was sleep and wake up feeling better!

Saturday morning we decide to go to the Theme Park. AGAIN i only make it on 3 rides and I thought I was going to die! SUPER DIZZY! It sucked! So we went back and I was done for the day. I just wasn't feeling well and poor Robbie was bored out of his mind! We did make it to the Santa Monica Beach for our anniversary dinner though, which was amazing, but watching the waves made me even more sick! I SWEAR!

Sunday I still was so dizzy but we went to go to see The Proposal! It was a very funny movie but watching it on the theater screen AGAIN made me feel to sick! We went back and I had to go take medicine and took a LONG nap! It was a lost cause! Everything we tried to do I just felt to dizzy!

We haeded back Monday to my parents and spent the night with them. It was fun to spend time and play with baby Shelby! Jarris came home with us and it staying for a few days. We went out to Sand Hallow and had a fun last day of our vacation!

**to comes as no suprise to us that the one time in a year that I'm sick is on our vacation, that is just my luck. I've been to some doctors to try to figure out what is going on! All I know is to always feel like you've just ran in circles is REALLY getting old :( **

I cannot believe how fast every day is going! IT'S JUNE! Life has been so great but so busy!

Robbie isn't going to school this summer so he is busy with work and has had friends down from Morgan visit us! We are trying to plan something fun to do this summer for our Anniversary! (can't believe its almost been a year!) Heather (my BFF!) and her hubbyJake are moving next month so her and her baby boy came down and spent the week with us.. I didn't get any pictures though which makes me sad! I am going to miss them so much! We had a blast and ate way more than we needed!!! But I do have lots of other pictures from all the craziness lately!! I still haven't figured out to to blog pictures in order so I'll apologize in advance since they bounce back and fourth!

We just spent the weekend down in Vegas with the family for Shelby's blessing! We had so much fun! We stayed with Ry and Kate and the babe! Did lots of shopping and playing around! I was sad to leave everyone but I do love coming back home!

My birthday was on Friday and my family came up and stayed with us! It was SO much fun! Courtney came up Thursday night and her and I went out with Megan and had a blast! Who knew you could play boxers or briefs with only 3 people! It was great!! This pictures are all out of order though! Anyway! Then Friday night my parents and little brother came up and we went out to BENJA'S (i LOVE it!) Court and I tried sushi and believe it or not we liked it... well only the fried ones! There was 10 of us at dinner and the owner came up and spoke with us and told us about thailand and the Elephants! Did you know that they really CAN play soccer and paint!!

On Saturday we just bummed around and watched conference... well some of us watched! While most napped.. (i know thats horrible but its the truth) Although there were some great talks and there is ALWAYS much to be learned!!

Im so glad my family got to come up! I had a blast! Heres pictures from the weekend!

Well.. as much as I loved my grandma couches I couldn't pass up this great deal on these couches which I've wanted for a long time! I don't think I have ever been so happy about a piece of furniture! I'm so lame! We are planning on staying in St. george for a bit longer so I wanted to make our apartment more of a home! I've decided our living room will be dark brown, teal and a deep red! It looks good together I think! (please ignor the mess around the couches!! oops!)Cafe' Microfiber: 2 couches for $500, to me that was a good deal! Affordable furniture behind Cafe Rio is awesome! Everyone should check it out! They have such neat things for great prices! Its all Ashley Home Furniture items..
This is the shelve I got from Target (of coarse!!) the clock came from Heather for my birthday and I made the flower set up for about $8 dollars!

I've been WAITING so long to hang this clock!! I got with at the Dickens Festival! Its darling. The clock actually sets in that box pretty deep and its pretty big! Im such a fan of clocks!

And this I made just with that Mod Podge (however you spell that!) I LOVED making it! They are so simple and fun! And these letters hang just about the tv! Thanks Heather for showing me this great idea!

I seriously LOVE to decorate! I want to paint so bad but since we're in an apartment that isn't an option! I'm wanting to add more into our room next! I've got some really cute paintings that I need to hang and of coarse more Mod Podging! Then I'll work on the spare bedroom, which im thinking about getting rid of the bed in there and making it a craft room! I'M ADDICTED!

Also I wanted to post about a few of the most amazing people I know! Most of you know I work part time for TURN. I have been there for a year and I love it! These people have touched and changed my life! I see life from a new perspective.

We went to the park last weekend and enjoyed the wonderful weather!

Well.. I can't believe this actually happened but Robbie and I went to LOOK at some trucks yesterday (we've been considering getting a four door so that ONE DAY we could fit carseats in it) anyway.. of coarse it couldn't end at just looking. looking turned into test driving, and that turned into a huge smile on Robbies face which then lead to a sit down in the salesmans office which then lead to this.....................

... a new truck in our parking space! I've decided to name her Francis the Ford.. Simple because Francis sounds like a pretty, needy, pain in my rear end! And that what this payment will become! We really do love the truck and got such a SMOKIN' deal and to be honest the payment isn't that bad.. but im only 3 months away from having my car paid off and it would have been so nice to not have a car payment.. BUT we made our first stupid financial decision.. and there she is!

Ok so I really hope im not the only one who is having such a great week! Since the time change my work day is just flying.. yes I do feel like its 3 am when im getting up at 6:30 but other than that I love how light it is at 7 pm! Anyway I just really hope that everyone is doing well! I think the more I talk to others and the more I watch the news, the more I am so happy and grateful for my life and for my husband and for all of our blessings. I wish I could explain how much we've been blessed! And not that I wasn't happy before don't get me wrong! But lately i've just been so chipper!

Now onto the real reason for this post!

HOTPADS!

About once a week Heather and I have a play date! We have tried cooking new things, chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels, we've made a blanket, we've been to chick flicks and Thai food! Which for those of you who haven't heard of BENJA'S... you HAVE to go there! Its amazing! Trust me! Anyway.. yesterday we made hotpads! They were so much fun and simple to make!This was the before picture! We only really needed about a 1/4 a yrd of each!
These are the colors I picked for my kitchen since it is black and red!

And a little while later.... wala! Hot pads! Aren't they so cute! I gave some to my mother in law but I can't wait to make more! Heather has made some for each holiday so hers are adorable!
Then you can just stick your hand in them and they have padding so it won't be hot!

I just thought they turned out so dang cute! Not to mention we figured each hotpad only cost about $0.50 to make! I have LOTS of left over material!!

I love getting together with Heather! We had such a fun day yesterday! It went way to fast but Im so glad I got to see her! She is moving soon and although I am SO happy for them.. im throwing a pity party for myself!

Oh and my great deal! I LOVE Krumpets! I went in the other day just to "look".. ya right! I got these beauties for $10.00!!! Normally $40.00.. GREAT DEAL! They are so cute and are going to look great with our new COUCHES!! I can't wait to get them! They should be here on Thursday! YAY... no more floral.. no offense grandma!

Everyday I realize just how lucky I really am! Nothing to exciting is really going on with us but life is just wonderful! Robbie and I are so happy with where we are in life, the jobs we have and how blessed we really are!! I can't believe we are already into March! Christmas seemed like last week! Today is my brother Ryans birthday!! Old fart! And his little girl will probably be my next post! Shelby Brooke Nelson is due the first part of April right around her soon to be favorite aunts birthday! Im happy and excited for them!

This picture was taken at Jacob Askeroths reception! He and his wife are so adorable together!! I'm so happy for them both! And I can't believe that Robbie and I have already been married over 7 months! Seriously married life rocks! We have so much fun together!!

Ok and I know Carson isn't really my nephew but I love him just the same! He is 6 months old now and the cutest baby ever!! Thats him with "uncle" Robbies hat on! They are good buddies! and Robbie is SO DANG CUTE with him! I love watching them! Robbie is going to be such a great dad! Even though he was on only child and has zero experience with being around babies I just know he will be the BEST!!! I am so so lucky to have him! I know we all say this, but my husband is the BEST!

And last night not least! My monthly craft night! I went to Michaels just to look around and came up with a few things.... and after maybe an hour it turned into this.....

This was SO fun and easy to make! Its in a shadow box so it looks better than the picture can show!

This past weekend my grandma, aunt and cousin flew into vegas for the weekend! My cousin Whitney drove from provo to my house then we went down to join the fun! Friday night we just hung out catching up and we got up early to go get everyone from the airport! We went shopping for a good part of the day!! (of coarse) After eating at the South Point mexican place, we went to see the movie, Taken.. it was AMAZING! It was a busy day but we had so much fun!

The weekend went by fast, but it was great to see family. I wish I would have taken more pictures :( I don't have any of my mom, aunt, grandma or Heidi :( That was also the first time I haven't been with Robbie.. it was kinda weird!! So we had a blast when I got home with the Superbowl game. The outcome of the game was not what we wanted but it was still fun to watch and a great excuse to grub!!!

Where on earth did this month go!!? I can't believe its almost over! Although we have had SO much fun!! Working away as always (thankfully), and we've also had lots of company!! My friend Amy is staying here a few night a week while she finishes up Nursing school! Robbie's mom and good friend came down and stayed a few days with us! That sunday we decided to go up to Zion just for fun! It was so beautiful! We had a blast with them here!!

Heather and Carson also came down and played with us for a few days while Jake was in school at UNLV. It was so much fun! From sewing to Durangos, to just watching Carson!! He is such a doll!! I wish they lived closer so I could see them more though!

The toy we got him which he loved!! Babies are just so easily entertained! I love it!!

2009 has had a great start! I still can't believe another year has gone by but I'm determined to reach all my goals this year! So far so good! We have been having so much fun with our friends! Thanks heavens for them helping us to get out of the house!! We tried the new Pirate Island Pizza place.... AMAZING! The food was great and the place was just set up so cute! If you live in St. George I would recommend you try it!
Robbie decided to have a party to watch the Texas Tech game. He made Brisket (which ive never had but LOVED!) and Megan being the wonderful person she is, cooked everything else and let us watch it in her game room! Sadly enough we heard the outcome of the game about half way in so the boys weren't to happy but we still had fun!

He wasn't to happy that Texas Tech lost but he still is a stud even after the let down!

We got a bunch of us together and went bowling at Dixie Bowl! The place is so ghetto but you can't help but love it! Having to reset the lane every second.. its the best!!

If you can notice the SLIGHT stain on my shirt! That everyone felt they had to point out to me! We went to Red Robin and somehow I spilt all over myself. Typical.

2008 was a great year. Started off meeting Robbie, half way through the year we were married and I finished hair school, whiched I LOVED!! And it ended with the best first christmas ever! I don't know where I would be without him and my friends! I've grown a great deal of appreciation of my friends. I've learned so much this past year about myself that I never knew before! I'm so grateful for my family as well and the support they have given us and everything we never knew we learned from then until now!! We love you all!!

I hope 09' is everything you need it to be!!

I know I know.. it should be a sin to have Christmas early BUT it was done! Robbie and I are going to my parents Wednesday and I work all day tomorrow so instead of packing everything up then packing it all back in the car the next day we just decided to celebrate early! So on the 20th we had some fun! Here are some of the pictures from the event!

This was our "tiny" tree... long story. There were lots of presents for Robbie under the tree and there was one HUGE box.. Ya Robbie DID wrap all my presents in one box.. He thought it was pretty funny!!

YAY! No more balding hubby... Hopefully ;)

It has been a little while since I posted anything so I figured I should update! We have been so busy lately and still so much to do! My house is a wreck and instead of doing this post I should be cleaning.. but im not! We have been having so much fun the past little while! We went to an 80's party with a bunch of friends and it was a blast I cant wait to go to the ugly sweater party!

For thanksgiving up went to Morgan to spend time with Robbie's mom. She had to be in the hospital thanksgiving so we needed to be up north to pick her help and just help out. It was a nice break from st. george but i FROZE. One day my lips were seriously BLUE! I didnt know that could happen! I'm not to sure im ready to move there and freeze to death... Im sad to say that we don't have any picture of our first thanksgiving together :( and this is the first year I didnt have a thanksgiving dinner, but Robbie made Mountain Dew Stew? Not sure if anyone has had it but it was pretty good! But my mom promised me we'd have a thanksgiving dinner for Christmas... can't wait!

Also it was Megan's birthday! I was sad I was up north and couldn't party with her but we celebrated at Player's with some friends for dinner! Happy 22nd Meg!!

On saturday we went up to my friends cabin in Kolob just for the day! It was a group date and we thought it'd be fun to go riding and fishing! BUT the fishing didn't last to long!! haha! But we still had so much fun! We ate hobo dinners, played games and watched Get Smart (SO FUNNY) I love just getting away even if its only 45 minutes away! Here are some of the pictures we took! "Sacrifice is the highest form of love." I made this one for my sister. She has a missionary out and this is just their cute little quote they always say! I'm very proud of her for waiting so faithfully, this guy is worth the wait. I'll love him forever for the person he's helped my sister become!!! The thank you cards is something that Robbie and I started to do. (Well i make the cards, not him) but we decided we needed to make our own family traditions so every Novemeber since its Thanksgiving, we decided to write a letter a week to someone important to us or someone just letting them know how appreciated they are by us. So either on Sundays or family night this is what we will be doing for this month!! Cant wait to see what we decide for Christmas!! I love the holidays so much!

Robbie and i went up to Morgan last wednesday for the weekend! Robbie loves going up north and he can't wait to move there (9 more months...) While we were there we helped his mom get ready for the snowy months, so we had to pull out everything she planted for summer and spring and also chop wood for fires! It was a blast, the weather was so amazing so working outside all day was so fun! We also went up to Idaho to pick up the fourwheelers and go for a ride. It really was so fun but I hate riding by myself because I always get dusted out! So Robbie let me ride with him for a bit but that sucked because we went up a trail STRAIGHT up a mountain and i was hanging on for dear life... needless to say it was a great ab workout since I had to use all my strength to keep on the fourwheeler with a heavy backpack weighing me down!! On our way home we stopped at Cabela's and got ourself some fishing pools and gear! I can't wait to use them!! I've never been to the Cabelas so I was amazed at all this stuff!!We tried to get the animals in the back but it didn't work..
While we were gardening look what we found!! The big one is a Zuchini and the small one a cucumber.. i was in SHOCK. That Zuchini is huge!!
I made Robbie hold them to his head so ya'll can see how big it was!

This was the night I made White Chili for all of Robbie's Morgan friends and we watched the Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay game...

Before our ride. It was cold in Idaho and I look huge since I had like 4 layers on!!!

Its sad how ugly this picture made everything look. It really was so pretty up there.

And of coarse after the muddy ride we (Robbie) had to wash the wheelers when we got back to Morgan.

It was a good weekend and Robbies mom loved having us there. We're going back for Thanksgiving and I still can't believe Robbie is moving me up there to freeze my rear end off!! The things we do for our Husbands!

Ok so getting our internet to work was a nightmare but it seems to be working so we'll see how long it lasts! Now I KNOW there are some of you out there who are very upset with me since i haven't been updating my blog and you have made threats to delete me! so now you can get off my back (you know who you are!!)

We had so much fun even though we didn't get to do much. We are planning on a second honeymoon next year! Pray this time I won't be on my death bed!

Leaving Ballys hotel!! We got lost! I took us an hour in the wrong direction in a town that I grew up around! Yes I am an idiot!

I know a lot of you keep asking me to update my blog and Im sorry im such a slacker! BUT we are trying to get our internet hooked up by next week so I will be able to spend those endless hours on my days off to post more! But for now- life is wonderful and moving right along! Robbie is doing great and working hard with going to school and working both fulltime. I feel bad for him but I know one day it will pay off! We are pretty sure we will be moving away from st george but it will be about a year and a half! Robbie will have to finish his school somewhere else. We'll see!! Work for me is going great! It keeps me busy but I know I should use my free time more wisely!! Im just a bum when i don't have to work!! My family is doing great and trying to get use to living in the big city! One of my best friends Heather had her little boy on the 2nd and I got to visit them yesterday and he is perfect in everyway! It was amazing to see one of your close friends starting her own little family. It was a great day!

Anyway, I wish I could post more pictures.. and I will from the wedding and honeymoon, just give me a week or so!!

Wedding (sorry its so late!!)

Our wedding day was of coarse nothing you'd expect nor planned! Of coarse I woke up sick (and not the nervous kind!) The temple was amazing and FINALLY we were sealed for time and all eternity! We headed down to Logandale for the reception and just as we got there robbie got a call learning that two of his friends (one being a groomsmen) had been in a bad accident and were being taken to the hospital. Now we didn't really know what was going on or if they were ok, but Robbie just looked so sad so I told him he could go to the hospital so he left with his dad while I sat on the bathroom floor bawling my eyes out with a reception going to start in 30 minutes!!! So after crying off all my makeup and my hair was completely flat, I forced myself to get ready again and go out there GROOMLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I stood with my sister and wonderful bridesmaids and parents in a line where I greeted the guests and of coarse... cried the whole time!! I hadn't heard anything for an hour so I was so worried but there was nothing I could do! Robbie finally got back about 15 min before the reception was supposed to end!! People started to clap as he came in! Everything was ok and the guys were still in the hospital but would be fine. What a night!! We ended up stayin there with out family and closest friends so a but longer while we cut the cake and danced just because it was our wedding day and thats just what you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a day if you ask me! Missing husband leaves his wife after 5 hours of marriage.... Was it that big of a mistake for him!!! Oh and not to mention I may have started off sick in the morning.. come to find out I had got some infections and had reactions to other meds I was taking!! Im glad its over but I'll never forget it thats for sure!!! So enjoy what pictures we do have and if you were there that day you can laugh too! But if you weren't you can just feel bad for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha! No you can laugh too... its the Nelson luck. Maybe it'll change now that i'm a MORRISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
